What constitutes caregiving? How does being LGBTQIA impact one’s experience as a caregiver? What feelings are “normal” for caregivers? How can caregivers find support?
Join the Women’s Cancer Resource Center, in partnership with the Pacific Center, for our LGBTQIA Open House and Caregiver Panel. We will have three panelists (Ayanna Flechero, Roman Rimer, and Malkia Devich-Cyril)
who have inhabited the role of caregiver for their partners, loved ones, and other LGBTQIA individuals in our community. The panelists will share their experiences and reflections. The panel will be moderated by Cheryl Espinosa-Jones, MFT. In addition, we will
have a resource fair with local community organizations and their offerings.
Starting at 6p, we will nosh on food, share LGBTQIA-centered space, and have time for attendees to visit the resource fair. The panel will follow.
