(MPR) Gentle Hatha Yoga with Vanessa Doherty

Hatha Yoga is a gentle, traditional practice that encompasses breathing techniques, meditation and mindful movement. While stretching and strengthening the body, it can reduce stress and increase energy flow.

A yogi since 1994, Vanessa Doherty began teaching yoga in 2010. Certified in the traditional practice of Hatha Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Reiki.

(MPR) Bodyscapes with Diane Sciarretta

The Bodyscapes technique uses the power of reflective writing and colorful drawing with pastels to help give voice to our inner journey living with illness.

In the writing workshop we will search for more diverse words to describe how we feel as we currently live or have lived with a serious illness.

In the drawing workshop we will discover colors that recognize — in an entirely new way — what we think illness looks like inside of our bodies.

In the end we will give these newly discovered words and colors permission to talk to each other to help shape our inner journey and experiences living with an illness. www.redandorganehouse.com.
