The JanRae Community Art Gallery

The JanRae Community Art Gallery started showing the work of local artists in 1997. The gallery was named after Jan Hart-Schuyers and Rae Louise Hayward, the co-founders of The Art of Living Black (TAOLB) and wonderful local artists who passed away from cancer.

Hundreds of established and emerging artists have shown their work in the gallery, which winds throughout WCRC, beautifying the space.

There are usually four group shows each year. Each show has an artist reception with refreshments and live music. Shows are announced on the WCRC webpage, in the quarterly printed calendar and in the monthly e-newletter.
