Please Help Redecorate WCRC
Are you an interior designer, a therapist redesigning your
office, or someone else who has access to several soft chairs
and couches that are comfy, go together and are in good
condition? We'd love to have some beautiful nearly new furniture
to make our support group room more welcoming to the women
who attend our groups.

ENVIRONMENT
On Thursday September 11, Berkeley's Community Environmental
Advisory Action voted 6-0 to endorse a Resolution on the
Precautionary Principle (PP). Then a week later, the
Community Health Commission also voted unanimously to endorse
this important piece of policy. The PP requires a commonsense
better safe than sorry approach to decision-making
and consideration of safer alternatives. WCRC's Public Policy
Coordinator Catherine Porter has led the education and advocacy
effort in Berkeley. She believes that these endorsements
will pave the way to the City Council's own unanimous approval
of the resolution in October.
For more information on the Precautionary Principle, education
and advocacy efforts in the Bay Area, and how you can get
involved, call Catherine Porter at WCRC, (510) 601-4040
