Women's Cancer Resource Center News
October 2007
Dear Friends,
The 2007 Swim a Mile for Women with Cancer embodied life at its fullest. Our swimmers came with their new babies, partners, cheering squads, congregations, school swim teams and loved ones. They also brought their will to survive, grief and loving memories.
We broke new ground with this year's Swim by introducing green practices and organic (and delicious) foods. We are appreciative of the hard work of Jason Harvey and Oakland Food Connection in catering the event. Channels 4 and 11 provided day of event coverage in addition to extensive radio spots.
Thank you to our sponsors
A very special thank you to the many sponsors who have donated superb food, wonderful gifts, prizes to our top fundraisers, bodywork, and dj'ing'
Please frequent these businesses and when you do, thank them for supporting the Women's Cancer Resource Center!
