Swim A Mile 2009: October 3 and 4

We would like to thank all the swimmers, donors and volunteers who contributed their time, energy and generosity to this year's Swim A Mile for Women with Cancer that took place on October 3rd and 4th.

Because of all of you we were able to break all of our event and fundraising records!Â Six hundred people registered to swim a mile, up from 500 last year. It's clear we have met our goal to gross $285,000 and likely we will break $300,000 as pledges are fulfilled. Please keep them coming! Thank you so much for making it possible for the Women's Cancer Resource Center to provide services to women with cancer. You inspire us!

The top fundraisers for this year's Swim A Mile for Women with Cancer are:

Top Individual Fundraiser: Suzanne Schmutz who raised: $6,060. Honorable mention goes to Marty Heinrich.
Top Team Fundraiser: Marty's Mermaids (Marty Heinrich, Betty Berry, Anne Hollingsworth, Susan Steakley and Kelly Graham) who raised: $11,872.22
Top Family Fundraiser: The Perlman/Blumstein Family (Janet, Carl, Anna and Alex) who raised $4,711!
