Swim A Mile 2005: October 1 and 2

We would like to thank all the swimmers, donors and volunteers who contributed their time, energy and generosity to this year’s Swim A Mile for Women with Cancer.

Because of all our wonderful swimmers we surpassed our goal of $250,000! And the donations just keep coming in! We were blessed to have 520 swimmers join us this year. Again, thank you so much for making it possible for the Women’s Cancer Resource Center to provide services to women with cancer. You inspire us!

A big thank you to Marty Heinrich who was this year’s Top Individual Fundraiser. Marty raised over $8000 in pledges! The Top Fundraising Team for this year’s Swim is Marty’s Mermaids which included team members Marty Heinrich, Karyn Utsumi, Kathy Utsumi, Anne Hollingsworth, Karen Hoexter and Susan Steakley. The team raised over $13,000. Check out picture # 26 to get a glimpse of the Mermaids. A big thank you to Marty and her Mermaids!
