Lifesaver Program

Whether you are a new or returning swimmer, our Lifesavers are here to provide one-on-one support around fundraising, training, or other aspects of the Swim A Mile. Visit the Lifesaver page to get more information about the program, request to be paired with a Lifesaver, or volunteer to be a Lifesaver.

WCRC's Partnership With The Y

We wholeheartedly invite you to take advantage of the resources available to swimmers of all ages and abilities offered by our newest community partner, the YMCA of the East Bay. The Y is offering a range of special benefits to registered Swim A Mile participants, on top of the outstanding existing resources that are offered at both the Downtown Oakland YMCA and the Hilltop Family YMCA in Richmond. Get more information about our partnership and becoming a member of the Y.

Last, but not least, you are of course raising money for an organization that plays a vital role in our community. This year is the Women's Cancer Resource Center’s 25th Anniversary! You are helping us mark this important milestone by committing to your health and the health of our community through this year’s Swim A Mile. The funds raised through the Swim A Mile represent 25% of the money that WCRC needs to keep providing FREE essential supportive services to women with cancer throughout the Bay Area—so let the giving begin!

See you on the pool deck!
