Your organized swim team (masters, high school, or water polo) or a group of friends can participate as a team at the Swim A Mile. Groups with 6 or more swimmers are considered a large team; five or fewer are a small team, including families. If your competitive swim team wants to participate, but your team members are unable to swim at the same time, please have each individual team member register as an individual swimmer.
The registration fee for a family is $50 ($65 after June 30), and families are required to raise at least $600 in donations. The Family Captain pays the entire registration fee when he or she creates the account. All donations made to individual members of a family will be totaled both on the individual’s page and as part of the team’s collective total.
The Family Captain creates or retrieves the account first, then creates separate accounts for everyone in his or her family and registers everyone as part of the same family team.
Register HERE. Be sure to select a time slot with enough availability for your whole family.
The registration fee for small teams is $50 ($65 after June 30). Small teams are required to raise at least $600 in donations. The Team Captain pays the entire registration fee, and should seek reimbursement from his or her teammates if needed. All donations made to individual members of a team will be totaled both on the individual’s page and as part of the team’s collective total.
The Team Captain registers first. This person will create his or her own swimmer account, register the team name, and reserve time slots for teammates. Our registration system will generate an invitation code and send it to the email addresses provided for team members. The codes will expire in August and again during the third week in September, so be sure to ask your teammates to register sooner rather than later.
Register HERE. Be sure to select a time slot with enough availability for your team (and a bit extra in case your teammates take their time in registering themselves).
To invite additional swimmers to your team after you have already registered, simply email your invitation code to any additional people you wish to invite to join your team.
The registration fee for large teams is $100 ($125 after June 30). Large teams are required to raise at least $1500 in donations. The Team Captain pays the entire registration fee, and should seek reimbursement from his or her teammates if needed. All donations made to individual members of a team will be totaled both on the individual’s page and as part of the team’s collective total.
