The JanRae Community Art Gallery

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the gallery is closed. We look forward to when we can reopen and host our valued community artists.

The JanRae Community Art Gallery started showing the work of local artists in 1997. The gallery was named after Jan Hart-Schuyers and Rae Louise Hayward, the co-founders of The Art of Living Black (TAOLB).

Hundreds of established and emerging artists have shown their work in the gallery, which winds throughout the WCRC building.

There are usually four art shows each year. Each show has an artist reception with refreshments and live music. Art shows are announced on this web-page, our quarterly printed calendar as well as the monthly e-newsletter and on our Facebook page.
