CANCELLED: Survivorship with Shannon Knorr (V)
February 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
*This class has been paused with the possibility of returning in the Fall. Please stay tuned for updates!
Survivorship, led by Shannon Knorr, is a monthly online gathering where we explore and navigate themes related to survivorship; recovery, resiliency and integration, who are we now? Navigating what happens next, after treatments, diagnoses and our lives being interrupted by cancer or illness. These changes impact our bodies, our minds and spirits, often asking us to change our careers, personal lives, values and relationships.
Each month we delve into diverse themes related to stages of healing and recovery, grief tending and more, through a somatic and spiritual lens, in community with others. In this two hour zoom space we will explore through somatic and intuitive practices, nervous system exploration and healing arts, creative process of writing, art making, movement and breath, creating a safe space for our emerging self.
Shannon Knorr is a fellow survivor and a Somatic and Expressive Arts Therapist.
Our classes and workshops are available to women and non-binary individuals, who are Alameda or Contra Costa County residents, and who either have/had cancer, or who are/have been a support person for someone with cancer.
