Women’s Cancer Resource Center is grateful to receive funding from To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation in support of our Faith Fancher Breast Cancer Fund.
To Celebrate Life Foundation plays an important role in strengthening breast cancer services throughout the Bay Area. By investing in local organizations working across prevention, treatment, and ongoing support, the foundation helps people affected by breast cancer access care and practical assistance close to home.
At WCRC, this funding will provide direct financial assistance to low-income East Bay residents who are undergoing active treatment for breast cancer.
About the Faith Fancher Breast Cancer Fund
The Faith Fancher Breast Cancer Fund was established in memory of Faith Fancher, a longtime Bay Area journalist and breast cancer advocate. The fund helps people manage essential expenses that can become difficult to afford during treatment.
Assistance may help cover needs such as:
- Rent and housing expenses
- Food and household necessities
- Transportation to medical appointments
- Medical expenses and co-pays
- Utilities
- Other urgent basic needs
For people already managing the physical and emotional demands of breast cancer treatment, an unexpected expense or loss of income can create an additional burden. The Faith Fancher Fund provides flexible support that helps recipients meet immediate needs and remain focused on their care.
